Getting around Tampa Bay
Tampa is spread out, and the things visitors come for are on opposite sides of the water. Downtown and the Riverwalk sit on one side; St. Petersburg and its museums are over the Howard Frankland; Clearwater Beach is roughly forty-five minutes west in ordinary traffic and considerably more on a sunny Saturday.
Public transport will not join those up for you. Parking near the beaches is metered and fills early — arriving before ten or after four is the difference between a five-minute walk and a thirty-minute one — and several causeways carry tolls, so a transponder saves the pay-by-mail admin fee.

- Daily rates across our fleet start at $55 a day, and weekly and monthly rates work out cheaper per day. The total for your dates is worked out from whichever combination is cheapest, so nine days is priced as a week plus two days.
- Is mileage included?
- 200 miles a day are included, then $0.35 a mile. Both figures are on your rental agreement before you drive off, and the allowance never shrinks as the rental gets longer.
- Do I need my own insurance?
- Yes. You need auto insurance that extends to a rental vehicle — most full-coverage personal policies do, and many credit cards add secondary cover. Check with your insurer before you book, because we do not sell cover at the counter.
- How old do I have to be?
- At least 21, with a licence held for at least 1 year. Drivers aged 21 to 24 pay a young-driver surcharge, which is shown in your total before you pay.
- Can I cancel?
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup, done from your booking without calling anyone.
