With the actual numbers. If a figure here ever disagrees with your rental agreement, the agreement is what counts — it records the terms in force on the day you booked.
You must be at least 21, and have held your licence for at least 1 year. Drivers aged 21 to 24 pay a young driver surcharge of $15 a day, which is shown in your total before you pay — it is never added at the desk.
200 miles a day, 1200 for a week and 3000 for a month. Over that it is $0.35 a mile. Both figures are printed on your rental agreement before you drive off, and the allowance never goes down as the rental gets longer.
A refundable deposit of $100 a day is held against your card, capped at $500.00 however long the rental is. It is a hold, not a charge — the money never leaves your account, but it does reduce your available balance until it is released. Most banks take three to five working days to clear the hold after we release it, which is the bank's timing rather than ours.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup. one_day_rate Cancelling is done from your booking — you do not need to call.
You need your own auto insurance that extends to a rental vehicle — most full-coverage personal policies do, and many credit cards add secondary cover. Check with your insurer before you book, because we do not currently sell cover at the counter and cannot add you to a policy of ours.
Your physical driving licence — not a photo of it — and the card you paid with, in the same name. Upload a photo of the front and back of the licence to your booking beforehand and collection is just handing you the keys. We cannot release a vehicle without both.
Bring it back with a full tank. If you do not, we refuel it and charge the fuel plus a $25.00 service fee. Keep the receipt if you fill up nearby.
There is a 59-minute grace period, after which late time is charged by the hour. Tell us before the return time if you need longer — extending is almost always cheaper than a late return, and someone may be booked to collect the car straight after you.
Pick your pickup point when you book — each one shows its surcharge, if it has one, before you pay. The exact address and the meeting instructions are in your confirmation email and on your booking page.
A credit or debit card, online, at the time of booking. The name on the card must match the name on the driving licence. We do not take cash or cheques, and we do not take payment at pickup.
We are a small operation in Tampa Bay, so you get a person rather than a ticket number.
