Terms of Service

1. Rental Agreement

By booking a vehicle with Amber Car Rental (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Renter” or “you”) agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Rental Agreement. This agreement constitutes a contract for the temporary use of the vehicle and does not transfer any ownership rights.

2. Eligibility & Verification

To rent a vehicle from Amber Car Rental, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked, or expired).
• Provide a major credit card in your name for payment and incidentals.
• Complete our identity verification process, which includes submitting a photo of your license and a selfie.

3. Insurance & Liability

Renters are required to carry personal auto insurance that extends coverage to rental vehicles. You agree to provide proof of insurance prior to the start of the rental period. In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, you are primarily responsible for all costs up to the full value of the vehicle, as well as any loss of use fees.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

We offer a flexible cancellation policy:

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled trip start time are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip start time will be refunded minus a penalty equal to one day’s rental fee.
• No-shows will not receive a refund.

5. Prohibited Uses

The rental vehicle may not be used:

• By anyone not expressly authorized in the booking.
• For any illegal purpose or in connection with any illegal activity.
• To tow or push anything.
• In any speed test, contest, race, or on unpaved roads (off-roading).
• While under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances.
• Smoking (including vaping) is strictly prohibited in all vehicles. A $250 cleaning fee will be assessed if evidence of smoking is found.
